Mohamad's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mohamad Gavahi, a cherished husband, father, and friend, who passed away peacefully in his home on July 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Esfahan, Iran, Mohamad immigrated to America with a dream and unwavering determination to create a better future for his family. He was a loving and devoted husband to Manijeh and a proud father to his two daughters, Noushin and Nazanin. Mohamad not only paved the way for his daughters to build the life he dreamed of for them, but he also instilled in them the values of hard work, generosity, and a deep commitment to their roots.
He was also a devoted son and beloved brother—deeply connected to his mother, Maliheh, and his siblings Mahmoud, Zahra, Ahmad, Masoud, and Khosro. Through unwavering love and loyalty, Mohamad nurtured those bonds across time and distance, remaining a constant source of strength, support, and care throughout his life.
Mohamad found joy in the simple things—whether it was the soothing sounds of nature, the warmth of the sun on his face, or the peaceful view of the river from his backyard. He cherished these small moments, finding comfort in the rhythms of life and the beauty of the everyday. His generosity was limitless, always ready to lend a hand or offer his wisdom to those around him. His kindness, deep insight, and infectious love for life touched everyone he met, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, integrity, and family.
Although his physical presence will be deeply missed, Mohamad’s spirit will live on through his family and all those whose lives he touched.
A memorial service for Mohamad will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 10:00am at Arlington Memorial Park. We invite you to join us in celebrating his life and legacy.
