Dear Matt and family, Sending hugs to you. I remember Mitch as the little bro of my good swimming friend Matt, and the guy who sweated through CC graduation morning in line next to me in 1983. He made me laugh and told me some good stories while we waited for our names to be called. I am so very sorry to hear this news (in the CC Bulletin). Thinking of you and wishing your grief brings strength, too. Love to you, big bro Matt. ~Carrie
I was watching the recording of FUMC’s All Saints Day service from last Sunday and saw Mitch’s name. I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many good memories of our families at St. Paul’s and my sisters and I send all our love and prayers.
I Remember Mitch was a natural talent and a great competitor. We shared some times at the club but my strongest memories were in the competitive swimming pool. Mitch was in my age group and we competed frequently and I can humbly say he won the majority of our competitions. Mitch, Rest in peace, see you on the other side.
Mitch and I played/represented DHS #2 doubles tennis team back in 1978. I always liked when Mitch played at the net (because he was taller then me) and he was able to put away anything that came across! Mitch was truly a genuine individual and great teammate! So sorry to hear of his passing and wish the best for his wife and family.
Fun memories skiing with Mitch and crew at Copper Mtn in high school, being neighbors and hanging out at the CS country club in the summers :) Prayers to his family & friends.
Jim, Mary Gene , I was sad to learn of your son's death. You are in my thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort. There can be no greater pain for a parent than losing a child. Blessings,
Jim, Mary Gean, Matt and Families, I was so sad to see Mitch's obituary! I remember him from our fun Bonneyville neighborhood, when you all lived a couple of houses away from us. Over the years, I saw Jim and Matt occasionally at the YMCA, if I remember correctly, a long time ago, but I have not lived in CO since 1990. So Mitch remains in my mind as a sweet little boy, youngest in a wonderful family that is part of the memories of my childhood there. I am so sorry that you lost your son, brother, husband and father!! My sincere condolences, Michelle Palmer (Lukaszewicz).
