Mitchell's obituary

Mitchell Allen Bassett, Jr., 38, of Millbrook, AL passed away on November 28, 2024. Mitchell was born on April 12, 1986 to Mickey and Kim Bassett in Birmingham, AL. After Mitchell graduated from Holtville High School in 2004, he enlisted in the Marine Corp where he achieved the rank of Corporal. After honorable discharge in 2014, Mitchell pursued a career in construction and became a business owner.

In 2018, Mitchell married Samantha Davis. In his free time, Mitchell enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing, and traveling with the ones he loved.

Mitchell is survived by his wife, Samantha, his parents, Mickey and Kim, his brother Billy (Carey), nieces Savannah and Addison, and nephews Bradley and Ryan, and a host of extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at River Region Church of the Nazarene on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with the service at 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mitchell’s Everloved Memorial Fund. Additional donations will be donated to veteran outreach as this was Mitchell’s passion.
