Miss Missy's obituary
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Miss Missy Corbitt on January 16, 2025. Born on January 1, 2006, Missy was a beacon of joy, lighting up our lives for 19 wonderful doggy years. Always sweet and bubbly, Missy's kind heart and loving nature will remain an eternal reminder of her comforting presence.
Missy is survived by her caring Mother, Jade Corbitt, and cherished Uncles Lenard and Harvey Corbitt and Jamichael Parker. Her beloved Grandmother, Candrice Parker, also survives her. Predeceased by a host of other family members and beloved fur family, Missy was an adored part of all our lives.
No ordinary pet, Missy was a family member with a distinct personality. A lover of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Scooby Doo, and the film Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Missy had a playful spirit that brought joy to everyone around her. Her favorite game was "Find the treat," and her palate favored Chicken strip treats and anything her Uncle and Granny would sneak to her. Always hydrated, Missy preferred water to quench her thirst.
Missy's preferred ways to exercise were running around in search for food and treats. An adventurer at heart, Missy loved traveling to Chicago, playing with Uncle Lenard, eating, and spending quality family time at home or at her Granny's house. In her world, pink was the color of joy and happiness.
While we mourn her absence, we celebrate Missy's enduring legacy of kindness, love, and happiness. Her mantra was to "Live life everyday like it's your last day." A guiding light in our darkest days, her most significant accomplishment was being a source of constant cheer and positivity.
Missy was more than a pet. She was a family member, a loyal companion, and a source of unadulterated happiness. Her cherished memory and loving spirit will forever be in our hearts. We are genuinely thankful to God for gracing us with her presence for these wonderful years and for the love and happiness she brought into our lives. Thank you all for your prayers and condolences during this difficult time. Missy Corbitt was truly a beautiful soul, and she will be missed by many.
