Miriam's obituary
Miriam M. Rhubart, age 88, passed away on October 21, 2022 at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA. She was the beloved wife of Clyde W. Rhubart with whom she shared 69 years of marriage.
Miriam is survived by three children: Myla with partner Rose, Tom with his wife Moira, Laura with husband Damon; three grandchildren; Russell Weisgerber, Rashell Hurley (Tom) and Michael Rhubart and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Doug.
Miriam graduated from Millville High school in 1952. She attended Edgewater Park Junior College, on the Hudson River in New York, studying Interior Design. She married Clyde in 1953 and spent the next 35 years raising a family and moving around the East Coast of the U.S. After the family was grown, she worked as a teacher’s aide in several daycares. After Clyde retired, they moved to Florida and enjoyed life at “The Villages” for 20 years.
Her hobbies were playing the piano, playing golf and traveling. She always ended any party with a few numbers on the piano and just enjoyed sitting down and playing. She grew to love golf and played 2-3 times a week. Her only disappointment was she never was lucky enough to get a hole in one. She and Clyde enjoyed traveling. They have been to five of the seven continents and all 50 states. She fell in love with northern Italy.
A private graveside ceremony will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to www.lundquist.org, a pulmonary education and research foundation.
