Mireille's obituary
It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Dr. Mireille "Boubrette" Alexis, DMD on October 5, 2024. Known to loved ones as Boubrette, she was born on December 10, 1955. Her energy, wisdom, and kindness will be missed by many.
Mireille is survived by her loving family. Her husband, Jean Alexis, and their son Rody Alexis, whom she adored immensely. Her dear mother, Irma Metellus, remains to honor her memory, as do her siblings; Pierre Harry Charles, Roseline Charles, Frantz Charles, Yolette Charles, Emmeline Charles, and Jean Bernard "Tidoc" Lacrete.
The extended family mourning her loss includes cousins Marie Dominique Saturne, Richard Charles, Mythra Saturne, Yves-Rose Saturne, Jose Obas, and Micheline Vendryes, and extended sister Angie "Zouppi" Cajuste. Mireille was predeceased by her father, Roger Charles, whose memory she always carried close to her heart.
Mireille left an indelible mark in the field of dentistry. She served with great honor and dedication at several organizations as a dentist, her positions included Senior Dentist at Whittier Street Health Center, Dental Director at Mattapan Community Health Center, General Dentist at Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center, and General Dentist at Codman Square Health Center.
A faithful attendee of Jubilee Christian Church, her faith was a cornerstone in her life. Mireille was an elegant, wise, warm, and inspirational woman. She firmly believed in the power of dreaming big and the importance of self-belief. Her roles as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and dentist were her greatest achievements. Her impact on everyone she met forms the core of her enduring legacy.
We invite those who knew and loved Mireille to join us as we celebrate her life. A Viewing will be held on October 18, 2024, at 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Cartwright Funeral Homes. Her Funeral service will be conducted on October 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. The day will conclude with a Reception at 12:00 PM at Quincy Sons of Italy.
