Minnie's obituary

Minnie Johnson, 84, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on June 11, 2022 after a 14 day battle with Pneumonia.

Minnie was born on December 14, 1937 to Bernice and Van Harris in Burdette, AR.  In 1957, she met Joe Willie Johnson, and they wed in 1957, going on to have 5 children, Steven, Ronald, Pamela Ann, Yolanda and Anthony Johnson.

When Minnie had Steven, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Minnie excelled at propping up all of her children and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was supporting her children through difficulties or supporting them through their passions. She made it her mission to improve the lives of others.

Minnie was a passionate Caregiver & Mental Health Technician. In her later years, she poured her love and compassion into Hanky and Andromeda (Andi), her beloved Miniature Doberman Pinchers. She would just glow with love and admiration when she would take her furr babies to the doggy parks. We will miss her greatly.

Minnie was predeceased by her sister, Ethyl, brother Carl, mother Bernice and sister Georgia. She is survived by ex-husband Joe W. Johnson,  children; Steven, Ronald, Pamela, Yolanda and Anthony and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
