>Last night, our family received the unexpected news that our grandfather Daddy Bubba had passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family. The man who built a foundation of warmth and empathy, who preferred kindness and gentleness to all else, was accepted into the arms of our lord and savior late on April 13, 2025.

Minister Roosevelt "Daddy Bubba" Smith Jr was born in Nassau Bahamas, before his family immigrated to Miami Florida in 1956. He became one of the first attend school in the Coconut Grove neighborhood in Miami, Fl. He married Lilian Shakespeare in 1963 and they had a beautiful family of 4. They settled in the area and Daddy Bubba started his own lawn service and made sure to instill a very strong work ethic in his children, grand-children, and great grandchildren children. He leaves behind his son BC "lil Bubba"Smith and his wife Sheryl Smith, his other son Antonio Smith, Kino Smith, and his baby boy Andrea KK Smith. He's left a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He will forever be loved and missed.....I cannot wait to see you on the other side Daddy Bubba
