Minerva Lugo, 83, went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 21, 2023. She was born in Taft, Texas on January 26, 1940. She grew up making a life for herself, traveling with her family and friends. Taking great joy in caring for her family, Minerva deeply loved her five children and treated her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as if they were her own.

Minerva was highly creative and skilled at arts and crafts, spending countless hours sowing clothes and constructing her masterpieces. She would often teach the sisters at her local church how to make special recipes or knick knacks for the home. Opportunities to go fishing or camping were never missed. Time with Minerva inspired her family’s greatest memories of get togethers, filled with dancing and laughter.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Maria Gutierrez and San Juana G. Villareal, and grandson Marcus Lee Sierra.

Minerva is Survived by her son Ernesto Sierra and wife Lynn; daughter Alicia Contreras and husband Roque; daughter Ilsa Rivera and husband Ricky; son Rick Garcia and wife Janie; and Son Eugene Garcia; in addition to all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, numerous relative, friends and loved ones.
