It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Milagros "Mily" Padilla, who left this world too soon on May 4, 2023. Born on December 5, 1996, Milagros was a loving and cherished member of her family, known for her bright personality and generous spirit.

Milagros is survived by her sister Natalie Padilla, brother Nicholas Padilla, and father Humberto Padilla, who will miss her deeply. She was passionate about life and had an infectious spirit that touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

A lover of good food, Milagros enjoyed sopes, flautas, and chilaquiles, while her favorite drinks included coffee, atole, and cookies and cream milkshakes. Her love for literature and cinema was evident in her favorite books, For Brown Girls With Soft Edges and Tender Hearts, Big Chicas Don't Cry, The Last Cuentista, and favorite movies Encanto, Coco, A Walk In The Clouds, as well as all the Marvel and Jurassic Park movies.

Milagros found joy and peace in long walks in Central Park and delighted those around her with her funny, goofy, generous, and kind personality. She lived her life according to one of her most cherished beliefs: to truly give is to give without expecting anything in return. And she loved that way too, without expecting anything in return.

We will miss Milagros dearly, but her memory and the lessons she shared with us will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
