In Loving Memory of Michael “Mike” Wallner
It is with great sadness that the family of Mike Wallner announces his passing on February 25th, 2025, at the age of 64. Mike passed away peacefully at his home in Fayetteville, surrounded by his family.
Born on January 15th, 1961, in Denver, Colorado, Mike was the beloved son of Robert Wallner and Bobbie VanHorn and the cherished brother of Lisa Wallner. He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda, with whom he shared 41 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family, including their two children and their spouses, Taylor and Jodi Wallner, and Zach and Katie Claxton. Mike was also a proud grandfather to 5, whose lives were brightened by his playful nature and endless encouragement. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will ride on in the hearts of all who loved him.
Mike’s life was defined by his deep love for his family and passion for cycling. Whether on long rides through the countryside or joining group rides with his cycling community, Mike found happiness and peace on two wheels. His adventurous spirit and warm smile touched everyone he met, and his family and friends always knew they could count on his wisdom, humor, and unwavering support.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Sunday, March 9th, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Osage House (243 Pace Ln, Cave Springs, AR 72718). In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to https://braintumorcenter.wust… in Mike’s honor.
Mike’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who provided exceptional support and care during his final days and nearly 2 year battle with cancer.
He will be remembered for his generous spirit, enduring strength, and love for his family. Rest in peace, Mike.
