Mike Ernest Lumpkin, 61, of Lafitte, LA, passed away on June 24th, 2023. 

Mike was born on August 26th, 1961 to John and Shirley Lumpkin in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended school in Belle Chasse, Louisiana and later went on the serve 4 honorable years in the United States Coast Guard. 

Mike was an avid fisherman, you could always find him with a fishing pole and a coke in-hand. He was known by some as “zebco.”

Mike loved fishing, he loved his camp (bass ackwards), he loved his two sons, and he loved his beautiful Denise. 

Mike is preceded in death by his father, John Lumpkin. 

Mike is survived by the love of his life and mother of his children, Denise Lumpkin, his two sons Brandon Lumpkin and wife Amber of Terrytown, LA; Austin Lumpkin and wife Vanessa of Picayune, MS; his mother Shirley Lumpkin of Belle Chasse, LA; Two sisters, Wendy Buras and husband Jon, Bambi Gardner and husband Dannie; Grandchildren, Taylor Armond and husband Gary, Blake Apple, Annalei Carcamo and Joseph Marchand, Great Granddaughter: Kennedi Armond; numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. 

Mike meant so much to his family and to everyone that knew him.

Memorial Suggestion: Have yourself a coke and go fishing in Mikes honor.
