It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael E. Gatesman on Feb 5th, 2023. Michael was born on April 8th, 1962 in Peoria, Arizona to Mark and Gloria Gatesman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Gloria.

Michael was a beloved husband to Kathy (nee Madison), father to Amanda Nash (Scott) and proud grandfather of Austin, Saleena, and Carson Nash. He is also survived by his step-mother Sharon Gatesman and siblings Angie, Mark (Stacey), Tracie (Scott), Tim (Shelly), Vince, and Randy (Teresa). Mike had many cousins, nieces, and nephews throughout the family who will miss him greatly.

Michael served in the US Navy from 1980-1984 with honor and pride. He was a person who enjoyed life to the fullest with his family by his side. He enjoyed working around the house,  gardening, sitting around a campfire, and just spending time with family.  His greatest pride was being Papa to his three grandkids. He was always willing to jump in and help you out if you needed a hand, no matter what it was.

A visitation will be from 11am-1pm on Monday Feb 20th followed by a memorial service @ 1pm at North Coast Baptist Church, 2051 Quail St Lakewood Ohio. A procession to Lakewood Park Cemetery in Rocky River will follow the service for his final resting place. There will be a private family dinner to follow.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations can be made to North Coast Baptist Church in Mike's honor. His life touched many people throughout his lifetime; Mike will be missed but never forgotten by all those who knew him..
