Mike's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael K. Fay, a font of relentless positivity that influenced all who knew him. Michael’s chapter in life opened on December 20, 1964 and was completed on July 27, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones.
Mike was never graced with an easy path through life, but despite whatever challenge he was currently up against, you could bet he’d be laughing, smiling, and cracking wise through the whole thing. Like so many caught up in the drug epidemic of his time, Mike spent years combating addiction and the fallout that came with it, but was able to eventually triumph against its ravages. After getting clean and being rewelcomed into the fold, Mike never once took for granted the small moments we all so frequently do, and vowed to be the very best uncle in existence to his many nieces and nephews. He did not disappoint in that aim.
Able to crack a joke at the drop of a hat and recite from memory the movie “My Cousin Vinnie”, Mike was well versed in the art of humor and the absurdity of life. He never let things get him down, and often seemed to shine during difficult situations.
In addition to his parents Frank and Alice, Mike was predeceased by his brother John. Mike is survived by his sister Cathy and brother Frank, nieces Crystal, Donna, Samantha, and Caitlin, nephews John and Lance, and many great-nieces and nephews. His warmth and love will live on through them.
Mike’s wishes were to not have a traditional funeral service or memorial, so a small family event will be held in his honor.
