Mike was like a father to me during my late teens & if he didn’t like what I was doing or how I was parenting, he wasn’t shy about telling me so! I wasn’t always an angel but he still welcomed me into his home (I was always with Heather and/or Heidi) and his grumbling became less and less as time went on. I think I finally broke through his tough exterior 🙂 He would come to my home & kill BIG spiders for me because I was too scared, help me paint because I hated it, and he even added oil to my car all the while shaking his head & giving me the stare because I forgot to add oil myself, again. It’s been many years since I’ve seen Mike but I’ll never forget his strong work ethic, his telling things like they were, the kindness he had for others & the love he had for his family. May his family find comfort in the memories they shared and may he forever Rest In Peace.
I hung out in the Demas household with my friend, Merrilyn for a few years in grades 1-4. Had a lot of fun times with this wonderful family. RIP Mike! Got some good memories!
