Michael Wayne Burke, 63, of Saint Michael, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on April 8th, 2023.

Mike was born on October 10th, 1959 to Douglas and Celestine Burke in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. During high school Mike worked at Perkins Restaurant and Bakery, eventually becoming kitchen manager before graduating from Eau Claire North High School in 1978. After graduating, Mike continued to work for Perkins, eventually transferring to the Brooklyn Center, MN location in 81’ or 82’. Mike started a long career as a courier with Roadrunner in 1992 and was known to bring German Chocolate bars for the office staff at regular drop-off locations and lottery tickets as gifts at office holiday parties. He continued to work with courier, delivery, and rideshare services for the remainder of his life.

Mike was an avid hockey and golf player in high school and continued to enjoy golf and racquetball leagues as an adult. He loved fishing, attending professional sporting events, golfing, going to the movies, and anything that would cause a scene and make people laugh. If he was cooking, he was grilling.

Mike was preceded in death by his father Douglas Burke and his mother Celestine Burke. He is survived by his children Nichole Burke (Taylor Gilard), Kyle Burke, Caleb Burke, and Taylor Burke, his siblings Dave (Patti) Burke, Steve (Sue) Burke, and Julie (Mike) Zwinger, many nieces and nephews, and his pets Bailey, Gracie, Sophie, Skiddles, and Bandit.

A celebration of life will be held at The Florian Gardens, 2340 Lorch Ave, Eau Claire, WI 5470 on April 30th, 2023 with visitation starting at 12 pm and service starting at 1 pm.
