Miguel's obituary
With heavy hearts, we share the news of the unexpected loss of our beloved brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and son, Miguel "Papín" Hernandez Jr., who passed away on Tuesday, July 2nd. Miguel will be greatly missed by his family and the countless others who were fortunate to know him.
Miguel embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength, a sweet spirit, and unending generosity. His love and care for others were evident in everything he did, touching the lives of many with his kindness and warmth.
Born on August 10, 1966, in Willimantic, Connecticut, to Miguel A. Hernandez Sr. and Iris E. Hernandez, Miguel was a cherished member of a large and loving family. He was one of eight children: Wanda Hernandez, Brenda Griffith, Doris Rios, Xavier Hernandez, Elizabeth Hernandez, Damaris Hernandez, and Wendy Hernandez-Moran.
Miguel is also survived by his beloved children, Miguel Hernandez III, Gabriel Gerena, Kiara Delgado, and Imanni Hernandez, as well as his four adored grandchildren.
The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make contributions to our memorial fund to help cover funeral costs. Your generosity and compassion means the world to us as we navigate this painful journey.
A memorial service to honor Miguel's life will be announced at a later date. Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Hernandez Family
