My condolences to Michelle's family. I first met Michelle when we were in seventh grade and we became fast friends. We stayed close even after I moved away from Rockford. Michelle was the life of every party and made me laugh so hard my side would hurt. I was so grateful to have reunited with Michelle and met her beautiful daughters when Michelle came to my mother’s funeral six years ago. Michelle hadn’t seen me in years and yet she made the trip to Chicago to be there for me and pay her respects to my family. That’s the kind of woman she was. We spent that weekend reliving our youth and enjoyed seeing our girls get to know one another. Michelle showed such bravery through her illness and blessed us all with her humor, quick smile and contagious laugh. Rest in peace Michelle.
