Michelle's obituary
Michelle D. Stenberg, 60 years old of Genoa City, WI passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at her home. She was born March 19, 1963 in Waukegan, IL the daughter of Florian Bruzan and late Charlotte (nèe O’Brien) Bruzan. On May 31, 2014, Michelle married Tim Stenberg at Chain of Lake Bible Church, Lake Villa, IL.
Michelle lived a life centered around Jesus and her family. Her life was a true act of surrender and service. Michelle’s legacy will be remembered through the way she mothered her children, loved her husband, cared for everyone around her, and relentlessly pursued the Lord. She wanted everyone to know and believe in God as their personal Savior. She lived a life that exemplified how God truly is our healer, provider and comfort. Her life was dedicated to being a wife, a mom and a friend in a way that reflects Christ. Her patience, endurance and strength and joy is a testimony to Gods faithfulness and goodness. In her love for Gods creation, she loved gardening, being outdoors and making memories with family. Her love for ice-cream and chocolate is something to be remembered as well! In her first marriage with Gere, Michelle spent many years raising their girls together. She was a committed wife and mother then, and she continued that through the years ahead. For over a decade until she passed, Michelle and her husband Tim created a welcoming home together and were truly the best of friends and soul mates. All who knew her or of her were influenced by the light and strength that shined, through the power of Jesus Christ.
Michelle is survived by her husband Tim; her daughters, Jennifer (Alan) Zawislak, Jocelyn (Jim) Jacob, Jeanelle (Will) Huffman; her grandchildren, Bradley, Lillian, and Olivia Zawislak, Miles, Malachi, and Derek Jacob, Austin Huffman; her stepchildren, Jessica (David) Pinson, Timmy Stenberg, Daniel Stenberg, Suzanne Stenberg; step-grandchildren, Ayden, Jasmyne, Walter and Kaydence Stenberg; her father Florian Bruzan; step mother LuRae; her sister Julie Bruzan Rush, and many extended family. She was preceded in death by her late husband Gere Palmer; her mother, Charlotte Bruzan and brother, Michael Bruzan.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with Funeral Services commencing at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday May 3, 2023 at Chain of Lakes Community Bible Church, 43 W. Grass Lake Rd., Lake Villa, IL 60046. Interment will immediately follow in Home Oak Cemetery, Lake Villa. For additional information, call 847-395-4000.
