It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michelle "Dawn" McCartney, who left us on June 3, 2023, at the age of 54. Dawn was born on March 8, 1969, and will always be remembered for her beautiful, smart, kind, caring, and loving personality.

Dawn is survived by her daughters, Ashly Jackson, Brittainy Jackson, and Kristina McCartney, and her grandsons, Aiden and Derek Yanko. She is also survived by her mother, Deborah McCartney, her father, Herbert McCartney, her sister, Angela McCartney, her brothers, Clint and Shaun McCartney, and her special person, Danny Rimmer. 

Throughout her life, Dawn was dedicated to taking care of animals and finding them forever homes through her non-profit organization, "Second Chance Pit Bull Rescue." Her strong passion for animal rescues was evident to everyone who knew her. Dawn's devotion to this cause not only made a difference in the lives of countless animals but also touched the hearts of those around her.

In addition to her family and friends, Dawn will be greatly missed by her beloved dogs, whom she cared for so dearly. As we mourn the loss and cherish the memories of a wonderful woman who touched so many lives, let us remember her unwavering love, kindness, and dedication to making the world a better place for both humans and animals alike.
