Michelle(Ezell) Mathews passed away on July 15, 2024, in Sacramento, CA, her city of birth. She leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication as a devoted wife to Jacob Mathews Sr., and a loving mother to Jacob Mathews Jr. Michelle was deeply cherished by her extensive family, including her parents Marie and Robert Ezell Sr., her brothers Robert Jr., Michael, and Carl Ezell, and her sisters Samantha Reilly and Heather Mayhew. She was a wonderful sister and aunt, adored by her nieces Jade and Lilly Ezell, and respected by her brothers-in-law Ben Reilly and Chris Mayhew, and sister-in-law Sarah Ezell. Her life was also richly blessed by her aunts Joy Reckart, Lynn Mings, Florence Ezell, Joyce Ezell, her uncles Ray Ezell, Ray Reckart, Frederick Ezell, Kevin Ezell, Neil Ezell, John Ezell, and many cousins and second cousins.

Michelle was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Beverly and Donald Ezell. She was a pillar of strength and joy within her family and community, and her absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew her.

A faithful member of Capital Compassion Assemblies of God Church, Michelle's commitment to her faith was evident in her daily life and interactions. Her funeral services will be held on July 24, 2024, at Sierra Hills Memorial Park, with arrangements entrusted to Sierra Hills Memorial in Sacramento, California. Michelle's life will be celebrated and remembered as a beacon of familial love and unwavering faith. Her warmth and spirit will be deeply missed.
