Michelle's obituary
Michelle Annette Hodges
Resident of Pleasanton
May 7, 1964 – April 15, 2024
Michelle Annette Hodges passed away peacefully on April 15 after a brief stay in the hospital. She made an impression on everyone she met with her engaging laugh, spirited sense of humor and sincere compassion for others.
Born to Sharon and Charles Emerson, Michelle grew up in Cerritos CA and graduated from Cerritos High School in 1982. During a Vegas bachelorette weekend in 1991, she met her husband, Tom. Michelle and Tom lived in Southern California for eight years, enjoying time at the beach, traveling with friends and spending time with her family. They were married in Avila Beach in 1994 on the Central Coast of California with many family and friends in attendance.
Michelle and Tom moved to Northern California in 1999, where they spent the rest of their time together and raising their son, Thomas. Michelle helped Tom establish an office in Pleasanton for his company, while acclimating to life in a new region. She was a fast friend, and enjoyed spending time with neighbors, reading, watching youth and club sports, shopping and most of all, raising her son. In recent years Michelle picked up golf and enjoyed playing with her friends and other couples at Castlewood Country Club. Michelle was also an avid animal lover, and loved to walk her dogs, Koda and Kenai over the years.
Michelle is survived by her husband of 30 years, son Thomas, parents Sharon and Charles of Cerritos, siblings Darcy of Lakewood and Jeff of Cerritos, in laws Russ of Cascade ID and Tricia of Berlin WI, along with many nieces and nephews located all over the country.
