Michelle's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michelle Hale, who was born on April 12, 1973, and passed away peacefully on April 1, 2024. Her vibrant spirit and affectionate heart left a significant impression on everyone she encountered.

Michelle is survived by her loving husband, Terry Hale, son, Daniel Hale, and daughter-in-law, Breanna Hale. She also leaves behind her stepfather, Chuck Norman, and stepmother, Beth Prezel. She will be dearly missed by her sisters, Suzette Hall (Rob), Courtney Neblett (Kyle), and Ashleigh Prezel.

Her memory will be cherished by her nephews, Greg Hall (Crystal), Jesse Hall (Rachel), and TJ Hall (Stephanie), as well as her nieces, Paislee Hall, Willow Hall, Cassie Garman (Patrick), Kaila Hall, and Jamie Hall. Additionally, her uncle, Claude Hastings and cousins, Geoffrey Landrum, Steven Hastings, and Brad Hastings, will remember her fondly.

She was predeceased by her parents, Robert Prezel and Marti Norman, and her grandparents, Alberta Pauline Prezel, Frank Prezel, Claude Hastings, and Lucy Hastings. She was also predeceased by her aunt, Susan Landrum, and her father-in-law, David Hale.

Known for her stubborn, caring, hard-working, bold, and protective personality, Michelle taught us invaluable lessons about the importance of not living above your means, to not trust everyone, and always place family first.

A lover of life and its simple pleasures, Michelle reveled in garage sailing and treasured every moment spent with her family and grandpups. Her favorite music ranged from the twangy country sound of Hank Williams Jr. to the electric rock vibes of Metallica, Alice in Chains, and Limp Bizkit. She found joy in her favorite culinary delights, which included crab legs and her preferred drinks—Corona with a lime, sun tea, Dr. Pepper, or chocolate milk.

Ignoring the ordinary, her favorite colors were bold and vibrant, just like her—orange and maroon. She was also a fan of TV shows like 'American Horror Story' and 'Sons of Anarchy.' Her favorite movies included 'Legends of the Fall' and 'Halloween.' And she loved to cheer for her beloved sports team, the Cubs.

A celebration of Michelle's life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM at 13154 N 300 East Rd., Stanford, IL 61774. More details can be found on the Facebook event: Michelle Hale’s Celebration of Life. Through our stories, laughter, and tears, we will remember the love and happiness that Michelle brought into our lives. In her memory, let us continue to live life to the fullest, honoring Michelle's spirit by echoing her love and warmth to all.

May her soul rest in peace, Michelle Hale will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
