Loving soul, Michelle Collette Goforth, passed away on October 31, 2022 after a 4 year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Michelle was 63 and was surrounded by loving family and friends during these last days. She is survived by her sister Bonnie Barber, her children: daughter Crystal Duran, son Preston Goforth and his wife Andrea Goforth, and her three grand children, Lydia Raye Goforth, Everly Christine Goforth and Hazel Grace Goforth.

Michelle, born to Frank Barber and Mary Woods on September 23, 1959 in Flint, Michigan. For the majority of her childhood she grew up in Michigan where she loved to speed ice-skate for fun. While in school she realized her passion for painting and being creative, later on discovering her talent in singing and writing. Throughout life she was faced with a multitude of challenges that brought ups and downs, however her faith in God kept her spirits and hope high. Michelle was always passionate about sharing the love of God with others and has helped many people discover their own paths to Christianity. She dedicated much time to learn about His Word. Now that Michelle has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Michelle’s physical life on Earth, it is the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her. Michelle joins her family members and friends in Heaven who have welcomed her home. She was an example to all of us what God's love truly is. Her love for others was unconditional.

So may we all remember this scripture when we remember Michelle: "For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: Love your neighbor as yourself.” – Galatians 5:14
