Dreams was a fabulous woman and friend, I miss her very much!
Dreama was a force of feminine strength, she modeled for me to keep learning no matter how old I am. She graduated from PSU in her later years. She loved my art creations and was one of my collectors and loving supporters. As her birthday approaches, I know she is doing something creative up above now. Sending my love to her daughter, Teal and the rest of the Reed clan.

Michelle and I worked together at Transcription Concepts in Carmichael, CA, in the late '80s.  She ran the transcription side, I ran the business side, Teal ran the clerical side.  We worked hard and we laughed hard.  And we loved reminiscing about those days because they were really great memories.   I will miss Michelle's great wisdom and dry sense of humor.  I called her a good friend.  RIP Michelle.

I met Michelle when our daughters were neighbors. We spent many years sharing our stories and love of our families.

I was in awe of what she was able to accomplish in her retirement more than some achieve in their younger lives. She was a force to be sure.

We had many humorous conversations on benefits and frustrations of aging. I miss her hearty laughter and engaging spirit.

I happened to sit next to Michelle on a bus headed to Seattle sometime in 2012.   We talked the whole way, and I knew I had found a very special person I wanted to keep in my life.  Here is one of my special memories of us together.  We were sitting outside a cafe chatting and an older woman we didn't know sat down with us, mistaking Michelle for someone else she knew.  The irony was Michelle and I  had made up outrageous stories for years about this glamorous woman we used to see walking in the park with her husband.  Michelle was going to have some fun and pretended to know this woman, and so I played along, too.  No stopping her!  The woman wanted to know if Michelle was going to move into her boyfriend's mansion, why they were fighting, and asked me if I was her daughter--and of course I said I was.  The whole time I was nudging her foot under the table and she ignored me, smiling politely with no sign of mischief in her face.   I will never forget that day.  We laughed so hard, and recalled it often.  I miss Michelle every day, but I  can't help but smile about the antics we enjoyed together and how much I loved her.

Michelle is lodged strongly in my mind, memory and thoughts. She was a tough nut to crack, but always had time for those who needed it. What a beautifully giving woman. After acting, we had meaningful moments when we shared the ups and downs of our lives--and shared the laughter that came from our shared experiences--and our inability to make sense of the 21st century. I can still feel her laughter and I try to wrap myself in it. Your mother understood as few did. She was one of a kind, tough, emotional, involved, and incredibly thoughtful. I really did love her which is why her death last year caught me by surprise. Too many unfinished meetings!Know I am thinking of you and your family and the love that was in the fighting heart of your ma!

A KOIN 6 news segment interviewing Michelle Drema, right before her graduation from PSU at 77 years old! She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Archeology and later spent time in Belize on a dig.
