Background
Our beautiful mom's sudden and tragic death has been an unbelievable shock for me & my siblings. She was such a caring and generous person, ALWAYS giving rides to people without a vehicle and never complaining. Every afternoon she would drive 5 miles to pick up all the leftover food from a restaurant that would have otherwise thrown the food away, and then she went around her apartment complex passing out the food to anyone who was hungry.
The highlight of her life was being able to watch her two granddaughters come into the world and then having the amazing fortune of being their designated caregiver when their mother was at work. She absolutely loved and adored Avery and Arya with every fiber of her being and would have done anything in the world for them. I can honestly say the girls couldn't have had a better Nana.
Our mom loved to cook and she was great at it. She made THE best lasagna EVER. Hands down. She also loved to bake pineapple upside down cake, and let me say, it really was the best.
Everyone likes to tell themselves that they are appreciative for everything they have, but our mom really and truly was always extremely appreciative of every little thing she had in this life and she never took anything for granted. She was always reminding us that life is extremely precious and that tomorrow is not promised. Afterward she’d follow up by saying, “so be thankful for the life you have today.”
She frequently talked about how much she missed her parents and she took solace in the fact that she would be reunited with them again some day. We are devastated that we lost her, but we can now take solace in the knowledge that we will one day be reunited with her as well.
To Momma: You were THE BEST mother and grandmother we could have ever possibly hoped to have. There will never be a second that passes when we won’t miss your beautiful face and your beautiful soul, and we promise Avery and Arya will always know just how much you loved them and how much they meant to you. We hope and pray you are at peace now with Maw Maw & Paw Paw. We love you more than words could ever express.
