Micheline's obituary

Micheline “Michele” Dussud Moshier, a beloved mother, Mimi, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on October 25, 2025, in Clarkston, Michigan. She was 83 years old.

Born on July 12, 1942, in Orléans, France, Micheline devoted her life to caring for her family and cherishing her French roots. She worked as a telephone operator at the Coligny Casern Military Base in Orléans, where she met her soon-to-be husband, Howard “Jerry” Moshier, who was stationed there with the U.S. Army. The two quickly fell in love and were married in France on November 13, 1961. During their marriage, they lived in France, White Sands, NM, Germany, Pontiac and Waterford, MI.

Micheline was a courageous and strong woman. She survived two battles with breast cancer and faced the challenges of Type 1 diabetes for most of her adult life. Fierce, fiery, and full of conviction, Micheline always stood up for what she believed in.

Micheline was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard “Jerry” Moshier; her grandson, Tim Eason; her parents, Michel and Gilberte Dussud; and her brothers, Claude, Gilbert, and Bernard Dussud.

She is survived by her three children: Susan Eason (Ricky), Melody Masoud (Keith), and Howard Moshier (Teresa); her four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: Hershel “Jon” Eason (Maggie), Ashton Masoud, Jennifer Moshier, Elizabeth Moshier, Jameson Eason, Abi Eason, and Ellis Eason. Micheline’s grandchildren were truly her world. She is also survived by six siblings: Michel, Joel, and Daniel Dussud, and sisters Ginette Allen, Jannine Jouas, and Colette Sanchez.

Micheline’s family is comforted knowing she has been reunited with her beloved Jerry, also known as "Papa" in Heaven. Peace is found in imagining her surrounded by all the cheesecake and ice cream Heaven has to offer - she certainly had a sweet tooth. She also enjoyed dancing, going to the movies, playing cards, taking walks, and sewing blankets and clothing for her loved ones. It’s easy to picture her now, wearing her favorite jewelry and cozy house slippers, as she always was - a truly beautiful woman, inside and out.

Her family plans to continue her legacy by embracing her French heritage and the traditions Micheline and Jerry passed down. An intimate family gathering will be held in the coming month to honor her and lay her to rest alongside Jerry at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
