It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michele Pope, who left us on June 21, 2024. Born in 1967, Michele lived a vibrant and full life, touching the hearts of everyone she met.

Michele leaves a legacy behind through her children - Matthew, Mark, Nickolas, Michael Jr., Nicole, and Joseph Pope. 

Michele was predeceased by her husband, Michael Pope, whom she married in 2004.

Michele started her tenure at Wawasee Community School Corporation in Syracuse, Indiana in August of 2000. Her dedication towards her job mirrored her passion in all aspects of life.

A woman of diverse interests, Michele held a special love for many things including her favorite books 'The Black Beauty' and 'Les Miserables.'

She enjoyed the country music of Alan Jackson and Shania Twain, the rock and roll of Mötley Crue, and the iconic sounds of Prince. 

Her movie preferences ranged from 'Dirty Dancing' and 'Where the Heart Is' to 'Gremlins' and so many more.

The warm sands of The Florida Keys and Cozumel, Mexico were her favorite vacation spots. Localities like The Back Forty and Friends held a special place in her heart locally.

Michele was known for her love for her children, her husband, and her pets. Those around her knew her as wild, determined, strong, and free. Raising four boys on her own for many years remained one of her proudest accomplishments.

Michele's legacy extends beyond her mortality through her children and grandchildren. Her memory will continue to thrive in their lives making her immortal in their hearts. In this difficult time, we find solace in the memories we shared with Michele and the love she had for each one of us.
