Michele's obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the unimagined passing of our beloved Michele Cary Gallinger. Michele (“Misha or “Shelley”) left this earth on November 19, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 6th 1961 in Tacoma Washington. And the second daughter of Carolann Allotta and Gary Gene Gallinger
Misha was gentle, kind, and creatively gifted– someone who would do anything for anyone. Misha saw the world through a unique lens; her ability to see the goodness in people was just one of her loving qualities, and she extended that ability to everyone she met.
No words can adequately describe what an extraordinary woman Misha was. She was beautiful, kind, funny, talented, smart, funky, and tough all are great places to start.
She was trusting and generous, and lived her life by the simple philosophy, “Just be kind.”
She loved her family and photography more than anything else, except maybe watching TV, especially the sports, with the love of her life, Dale. She was an exceptional mother to Marina, a wonderful daughter to parents Carolann and Robert, and a great friend to many others.
Michele’s true passion was in the arts. She was a graduate of UCSB and the world renowned Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. She was most energized behind the lens of her camera. Misha has left a legacy with her beautiful photographs. From weddings to portraits to family photos, her gift of photography will be cherished by all those she touched.
