Micheal was very smart and she was frequently very frustrated at having to work for lawyers whom she felt she was smarter than. She was given work that typically would be given to a paralegal or law clerk despite the fact she was only a legal secretary and her bosses encouraged her to consider law school. She grew up at a time when sexism prevented families like hers from sending their daughters to college and she always regretted not being given the option of getting an education. Despite this longing she was convinced that college made people less creative and was suspicious of all institutions and of all forms of authority.
When she was a child she loved to play in the ponds and rivers, catching frogs and pollywogs.
