The world dimmed its light on March 31, 2024, as Micheal Anthony Washington, a beacon of warmth and wisdom, embarked on his journey beyond the veil. Surrounded by the comforting embrace of his home, he departed this world holding the hand of his beloved wife, Mary A. Kendall-Washington. His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him, for Micheal was not merely a husband, son, or colleague but a pillar of strength and a source of boundless love.

Born and raised in the nurturing embrace of Beaufort, SC, Micheal's journey began against the backdrop of a close-knit community steeped in love and tradition. The cherished son of the late Louise D. Washington-McManus, Micheal's upbringing was imbued with the values of integrity, compassion, and resilience. These guiding principles would shape his path in the years to come, as he embarked on a life marked by service, dedication, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones.

Micheal's educational journey led him to the halls of Battery Creek High School in Beaufort, SC, where he graduated with honors in 1985. Fueled by a desire to serve his country and make a difference in the world, he answered the call of duty, joining the United States Army with a steadfast commitment to honor and integrity. For 12 years, Micheal served his country with distinction, embodying the values of courage, sacrifice, and selflessness that define the noblest of warriors.

Upon concluding his military service, Micheal's journey led him to Washington, DC, where he forged a new path alongside his beloved family. Guided by an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a natural aptitude for learning, he ventured into the realm of Information Technology—a field that would become his passion and his calling. With an exceptional memory and an innate curiosity, Micheal mastered various programs and technologies, earning a reputation as a consummate professional and a trusted advisor among his peers.

Renowned for his wealth of knowledge and his willingness to share his expertise with others, Micheal became a walking encyclopedia—a repository of wisdom and insight that enriched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His dedication to his craft and his unwavering commitment to excellence served as a source of inspiration to all who crossed his path, leaving an indelible mark on the world of technology and beyond.

Yet, amidst his professional accomplishments, Micheal's greatest legacy lies in the love and devotion he showered upon his family and friends. As a devoted husband, loving father, and doting grandfather, he was a source of strength and support, offering guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love to all who sought his counsel. His presence illuminated the lives of those around him, bringing joy, laughter, and a sense of belonging to all who had the privilege of calling him friend.

Micheal is survived by his beloved wife, Mary A. Kendall-Washington, whose love sustained him through the trials and triumphs of life. He leaves behind his sons, Micheal Anthony Washington II and Mahaj Arlyk Washington, and his cherished grandson, Noah Zion Washington—all of Clinton, MD. He is mourned by his stepfather, Dr. Robert "Mac" McManus, of Centerville, MA, and a host of beloved family members, including three aunts, two uncles, his mother-in-law, four sisters-in-law, his brother-in-law, and a multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In the quiet moments of remembrance, Micheal's spirit will continue to shine brightly, a beacon of hope and inspiration to all who were blessed to know him. His memory will be honored at a visitation to be held at Clinton Baptist Church, 8701 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD, on Monday, April 8th, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Micheal will be laid to rest at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery at 2:30 pm, where his legacy will endure for eternity.

Though Micheal may have departed this world, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who loved him—a testament to the enduring power of his love, his compassion, and his unwavering commitment to excellence. Rest in peace, dear Micheal. You will be forever cherished and deeply missed.
