Michaela D’Lyn Gilbert, 54, of Odessa, TX peacefully traveled to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, September 14th, 2019. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Thursday, September 19th, at 3:00 pm, at Sunset Heights Baptist Church, located at 2401 West 16th St., Odessa, TX, where she was a devoted member for many years.

D’lyn was born on November 27, 1964 in Fort Worth, TX, to J.W. and Pat Williams of Andrews. She graduated high school from Odessa High in 1983, going on to work in various crafts. She married Ernest Gilbert on October 2, 1993 and together they had two sons, Jerry and Jakob, which were the pride of her life.

Those that were fortunate to share life with D’Lyn know she had a beautiful, giving spirit. She was always smiling and laughing, full of kindness and love, and would do anything she could for anyone who asked. She brightened so many or our lives.

D’Lyn was preceded in death by her father J.W. Williams of Andrew, TX. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Ernest Gilbert; her sons Jerry and Jakob Gilbert; her mother Pat Williams; Brothers Dan and Dustin Williams; one nephew, Daniel Williams; three nieces, Audrey, Melina, and Ivy Williams; and mother-in-law, Georgeann Humble.
