It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Michael "Woot" Wooten. Woot, as he was affectionately known, lived a life full of vibrancy and joy.  His heartwarming presence will be deeply missed.  Woot’s laughter, love, and memories are treasured keepsakes that will forever remain in our hearts.

Michael Flynn Wooten was born Flynn Shannon O’Neal on February 19, 1972 in Jolliet, Illinois to Gene O’Neal and Betty Ware O’Neal (Wooten). When his parents divorced, Mike and his mother relocated to Lebanon, Missouri and his name was changed. He soon became lovingly known as Woot or Wooty to his peers. 

As a child, Woot spent spent a lot of time with his grandparents, Charlie and Mary Ware.  He loved the summers when their house would be full of cousins and relatives and friends. Woot attended St. Francis de Sales Catholic church where he made several life long friends. 

Woot was a talented student and the class clown. He was loved by all, his classmates, teachers and administration. Woot played baseball and football in school but he shined brightest in choir.  His love for music would continue through his entire life.

He attended Missouri Southern in Joplin, Missouri, however his free spirit and wandering soul led him down many roads throughout his twenties. Woot loved road trips, floating and fishing. Always willing to jump on stage and sing with the band, he was the life of the party. He was an entertainer. He loved to laugh and to make people laugh.

Woot's life changed forever in February 2002 when he met Sunni Anderson and her son Levi.  It was soon obvious that the 3 were destined to be a family. On May 31, 2003 Woot and Sunni were married.  Bonded over their love for sports, the Cardinals and especially the Chiefs, Levi and Woot were father and son in every aspect.  

We take solace in knowing his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the constellation of our lives. Rest in peace, Woot.
