It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Michael Spears, who departed this world on September 7, 2025. Born on July 5, 1959, Michael touched countless lives with his wit, charisma, and boundless love.

He was a devoted husband to his wife, Stacy Spears, and a loving father to his children, Lacci VanHorn, Steven Spears, Christopher Spears, James Spears, and Andrea Spears. Predeceased by his mother, Nancy Knudson, and father Burrell "Buzz" Spears Jr, his family legacy includes his siblings; Robin Tays, Tami Knudson Erdman, and Kim Knudson and his nephew Brian Tays.

As a loving grandfather, his spirit lives on in his grandchildren; Alex, Kal-El, Kavika, Max, Angeline, and Ninette and Sofia. The family circle is further extended by his cherished daughters-in-law, Se'epa and Harmony and son-in-law Romario .

Michael lived his life with a spirit of joy, passionately enjoying fishing and quality time with his family. His philosophy of living for the moment, and loving with a full heart, resonates amongst those who had the privilege of knowing him. Michael's greatest accomplishments were not in material wealth, but in the family he loved and nurtured. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and will continue to embody his legacy of kindness.

He will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His family and friends will remember him not only for his wit and charisma, but also for his infinite capacity for love. Through his family, his spirit will continue to thrive, reminding everyone about the importance of love, laughter, and living in the moment.
