Michael “Wade” Weston Sr., 75, of Hopewell, Virginia, passed away on February 15, 2026.

Wade was born to Elizabeth Bahen Weston and Lee Roy Weston. He retired from DuPont Fibers after many years of dedicated work, but what mattered most to him was his family.

He was an avid golfer who enjoyed his time on the course, but his greatest joy was being “Papaw.” He loved watching his grandchildren grow and treasured every visit, every story, and every laugh they shared.

He is survived by his son, Mike Weston (Nicole); his daughter, Melissa Fernald (Brad); his beloved grandchildren, Bryson Fernald and Skyler Weston; and his brothers, Dean Weston, Doug Weston, Rodney Weston, and Chuck Weston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Lee Roy Weston.

A graveside service will be held on April 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Southlawn Memorial Park,

1911 Birdsong Road, Prince George, VA 23875.

Following the service, family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Nanny’s Restaurant,

11900 South Crater Road, Petersburg, VA 23805.

Family and friends are welcome to join us in remembering Wade and sharing a meal together, something he always enjoyed, especially good barbecue and good company.
