Michael's obituary
Michael Landrum was born to Bill and Jimmie Landrum on October 27, 1953. He began his eternal journey with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 8, 2023 after a hard and tiresome battle with esophageal cancer. In the last 6 months he fought brave and hard to overcome, but on April 7th, he said he had enough and was ready to be healed by The Great Physician. When asked if he needed anything, his last request was Blue Bell Vanilla ice cream and root beer. He spent his last day enjoying a root beer float with his brother Rick and having scoops of Blue Bell and listening to The Masters golf tournament with his daughter Beth.
Mike was an excellent athlete and excelled in everything he participated in. On a journey with his daughter Beth to find a place to settle for his retirement they went to Caddo Lake. He quickly decided it was the place. He became obsessed with the beauty of its sunrises and sunsets and began a tour business. He gave numerous tours to people all around the world. His last years gave him great pleasure sharing this part of God's beauty with many. His legacy lives on in his many photos of the days spent out on the lake.
Mike leaves behind his loving children, grandchildren, brother, sister and many other caring family and friends. His service will be held at Wilderness Church, 117 Shelley Dr. in Tyler, on Saturday, April 15th at 6pm.
