Michael's obituary

Space, the final frontier. These are the continuing memories of Michael Nathaniel Washington. He was a husband, father, son, brother and true friend.

His avid love for astronomy and Star Trek fueled his dream for all mankind to love one another.

He loved Yosemite and Sequoia for their tranquility and to commune with nature.

He loved cartoons, especially ones that included some of his favorite classical pieces of music such as "The 9th Symphony by Beethoven, The Barber of Seville, The Marriage of Figaro, etc". He was a classical pianist and enjoyed conducting. He was included as one of the conductors for Santa Monica High School marching band during his daughter's  junior year of high school.

He was a brilliant man, yet very humble. He was kind and his smile lit up the world. He enjoyed being social with everyone.

He taught us the meaning of what unconditional love is.

His journey started on March 20, 1951 in San Francisco, California to Millard and Jacqueline Washington.
He graduated from Santa Monica High School, attended California State University of Dominguez Hills and UCLA.
He was a Section Head Supervisor for TRW Aerospace Division. He worked there for 22 years.
He moved on to be a Contract Specialist for the USA Air Force Base in El Segundo, CA where he eventually retired.
Michael is survived by his wife, Donna, his daughter Angela, his son-in-law Michael, his bonus daughter Heather Dean, his mother Jacqueline, his sister Shyril, his brother-in-law Jesse, his niece Shyree, the twins and DJ, his Aunt Shirley, his cousin Staci and Kendon, his best friend Michael Teubner and the rest of his family and friends.
Today, we celebrate his life and how much he was loved by anyone who met him.
His journey on Earth ended on December 8, 2022.
We have and will always love you.
