I'm crushed to hear Mikey has passed. I had no idea. My heart goes out to his family, especially his daughters, whom he spoke so fondly and proudly of. My heart is broken. He was truly golden. Mike, thank you for all the time you made me laugh (and there were a lot of times). All the hours you spent in the park with your metal detector. Thank you for the time you spent with my son, Anthony, and that you chaperoned at least one of his field trips in elementary school. I remember after that field trip, no one bothered him anymore ;) Thank you for helping Anthony with multiplication. Thank you for taking time to teach us paper football, now a necessary life skill. So very sorry for your loss. I only met Mike a couple times but he made an impression. We had a good time with him at Dennys birthday party. He had a quick wit and dry humor. I hope you all have many happy loving memories of him to comfort you. Carolyn and I have made a donation in Mikes name to a local organization, Coulee Cap. They help people who are struggling with mental health and addiction disorders. The donation will help someone. I am not sure if we can make it up to Minneapolis on Saturday.
