This was on the trip Mike too…
2016, Gulf Shores, AL, USA
This was on the trip Mike took to see his daughter Becky graduating with her Bachelors degree in AlabamaToday is one year since you left us Dadio🥺So much has changed in one year, so much you would have loved to see. Your granddaughter London was born in the middle of a pandemic and gosh is she precious😇 She would have been your new leading lady. I wish I could say the pain has gotten easier for all of us but it has not🥀Watching your daughter Becky over the year has been really tough. I wish there was some way for me to take the pain from her. She continues to always honor you and lives now to TEᒪᒪ YOᑌᖇ ᔕTOᖇY. We wish nothing more then to spend time with you physically but coping with the fact that this is not possible anymore is still so heartbreaking. Please continue to watch over us and know how loved you are❤️ ʀᴇsᴛ ᴘᴇᴀᴄᴇғᴜʟʟʏ ᴀɴᴅ ᴘᴀɪɴ ғʀᴇᴇ ɪɴ ᴘᴀʀᴀᴅɪsᴇ ✝️🕊 A loving tribute to Michael Unroe #goodtimesgoodtimes

Michael, It's been one year since you've left us. I have a heavy heart, I've thinking about you quite a bit, our last visit, your wonderful smile and sense of humor. I'm sorry you left us so soon. I am glad your pain free now and with our family up in heaven. I Iove you....
I just heard the of Mike’s passing. I too was stationed with him at Nellis AFB and I remember him as a great guy, loveable, with an easy smile, and just a great person to work with and be around. No matter how heavy the workload or how miserable the conditions, Mike always lifted the mood and spirits of those around him. My condolences.

Mike and I met at Lincoln College. I can do remember him for His Hair! Never new a man who cares so much about his hair... a little jealous I remember because it was SO PRETTY😊 He was the life of the party
Always smiling and making others smile. Life can take you many places and he touched many lives! May you remember all he had to give from his heart and rest easy knowing his Love was genuine and giving with each touch he did!! RIP Mike❤️

Mike and I were Best Friends when we were younger- we hung out a lot , we took turns driving to Six Flags Great America where we worked , he was a sweeper , I was in a kiosk type of store . He would come sweep in front of my store so we could talk and goof around . For some reason We would trade cars 🤷🏼‍♀️ No idea why... I’d drive his he would drive mine -and blast our 80’s.music -go to Burger King - eat whoppers . I would love watching him break dance - he was so determined to be great at that! He once said he was going to “steal Eric’s moves”lol - He alwAys made me laugh. He said he liked to tell me jokes - cause I always laughed.😂 it’s true. I always did. He said I looked like his moms Persian Cats! (WTH?) big blue eyes and a flat face (🤨) I think it was supposed to be a compliment! I was going to join the Air Force before Mike decided to join. Took all the tests ~ then I chickened out- he signed up and tried talking me into going with him - I wouldn’t do it . We had so many great times and I will treasure those memories forever. I wish I could have been there for him as I know he would have been there for any one of his friends. Rest up Michael! Til we meet again .😘

I wasn’t close to John, but we shared a lot of classes and jokes back in school.
My heartfelt condolences goes to his family and close ones. It’s very tragic when it hit close to people we all knew. May god find healing for you all during this time.

I have known Mike since we were 5. I remember many times going to the Round Lake Roller Rink which was the hot spot to go when we were in our mid teens. I had a 1978 black Camaro Z 28 and Mike love to drive that car. He asked me one day “Do you care if I take it to go deliver a pizza from the roller rink” and I said “no that’s fine but be careful cause I’m low on gas”. When I came back to my car later I saw that my gas tank was full..I immediately told him thanks for putting gas in my car and told him he didn’t have to do that..It was a couple hours later he told me he didn’t do it or that at least he didn’t pay for it! He also told me that was the fastest car he had ever been in as he was slinging rubber and leaving a smoke trail out of the gas station! He reassured me that nobody saw him do it and that the cops would never be involved. We must’ve laughed for an hour at the thought of him doing that and how nervous he must’ve been. That’s one of 1000+ stories I’m sure we could all tell about Mike. Going to miss him like a brother. Rest easy until we meet again ...

Mike and I became great friends many years ago at Lincoln College and I can still recall his infectious sense of humor and how he loved his shiny, curly black locks. I can’t remember what he put in his hair, it it sure made it shine (and maybe even drip a little.) We loved riding in his old tan Mustang with the Hurst shifter and I recall vividly recall hearing for the 1st time the group Ready for the World and learning to like them as much as he did, but my fondest memory was him riding (bitch) on the back of my bike from Lincoln to Ottawa, Il. in a downpour and laughing our asses off the whole way to my house. I will so miss you Mike.

I have too many great memories with Mike, scuba diving, rock repelling, concerts, mosh pits, monster trucks, rodeos, Vegas clubs, gambling, TDYs, road trips, donuts in the parking lot, you name it. He was a good friend and a loyal wing man, with kid-like humor. So fun to be around and everyone loved him. My favorite memory was on a dive trip to Catalina island. Mike, Me, and Joe spotted a 3-4 ft black tip shark resting on the bottom in a little kelp pocket. We were shoulder to shoulder sneaking up to the shark. When we got right on top of it, Mike grabbed that damn shark by the tail and held on tight. His face lit up as he swung that shark left and right towards Joe and I. Crazy ass! I thought i would die of a heart attack right there. Whenever I recall a memory of a wild adventure, it usually includes Mike. I only wish we hadnt drifted so far apart over the years. Its lifes adventures that keep us pushing forward. I can only wonder if a nudge from an old partner in crime could have lit a spark, and made him hungry for more. I miss you brother and will keep you in my mind as the adventures continue on. I know you will join me in spirit. Love you brother...Sincere condolences to Jen, Becky, kids and all the family.

Mike was one of my best friends in my early Air Force career while at Nellis AFB in Vegas, we were inseperable for several years. He lived life and adventure. I was with Mike during a devestating time at Nellis and got to see a side of Mike alot of people didn't see. I love Mike like a brother and will continue to uplift Mike and his memory until its my time. Jen, may God bless you, your family, children and everyone whose lives Mikes touched. I miss you brother, and love you so much.
