The loss of my dad was a profound shock to me and my family, a testament to the unpredictable nature of life. He was 64 years old, residing in Mississippi, far from his twin children, Malisha Turnipseed and Michael Turnipseed, who had planned a summer visit but were unable to reach him in time, a painful regret we both grapple with. His passing was shrouded in unknown circumstances, a mystery that both he and I were unaware of. Despite the funeral services suggesting cremation due to the absence of life insurance and savings, I remain steadfast in my desire to honor my dad's memory in a more traditional manner. As his daughter, the weight of this decision is significant, but I find solace in the resilience and unity of my family as we navigate this uncharted terrain together, seeking assistance to celebrate my dad's life in a manner that truly reflects his spirit. It is final that my father will be getting cremated, set on August 9th. I am seeking help for me to be able to get to Mississippi for my dad’s homegoing, It’ll be the last time I’ll ever see him again.
