A few memories of my Dad!
Playing records on an old Dancette record player,
Standing on his feet and dancing,
Him playing the trombone,
The Fish & Chip shop in Wonford Street, Exeter.
Exeter Falcons Speedway.
Going to 'Pram & Toy shop' in Exeter to get a matchbox cars and Scalextric cars or going to the record shop to buy a single (45rpm) on a Saturday afternoon.
Singing , 'Ten green bottles' & 'The green grass grew all around' when we were in the car on long journeys.
Secret eating of all the stuff you shouldn't have, especially sweets.
Catching the chip pan on fire when he was at home alone with me, while Mum was out on business.
Riding Moter bikes and doing Motorcycle Trials.
Towing his trailers and caravans.
Grand Prix, Formula 1 car racing.
Watching the show jumping and boxing.
And much, much more, in fact to much to mention!
So thankful to have memories of the good things we shared.
Good night Dad, may you rest peacefully now.
Lots of love
Jane & Roger xxx
