Tim's obituary

Michael "Tim" Smith, 65, of Saint Augustine, FL, passed away on March 22, 2024 after an 18 month battle with stage IV pancreatic cancer.

Tim was born on March 31, 1958 to Bobbylee Wilson and Lindy Smith in Fort Pierce, Fl. After graduating from John Carroll High School in 1976, he went on to become a Barehand Lineman for Florida Power and Light for 35 years.

In 1986, he met Suzanne, and they wed in 1988, going on to have three children, Jadelyn, Lacy, and Cheyenne.

Tim was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family and faith meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned.

Tim was a passionate sports fan and could often be found at Florida Gator games when he wasn’t at home. He also enjoyed exercising, continuing to run up to 8 miles a day, lift weights, and do over 600 sit-ups even throughout his cancer treatment.

Anyone who knew Tim knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for.  He was also a very devoted granddaddy to Christian Michael (18), Chloe Noelle (10), and Holly Anne (6). Tim was predeceased by his father Lindy Smith in 2000, and his daughter Jadelyn LeighAnn in 2018 . He is survived by his wife Suzanne, daughters Lacy and Cheyenne, grandchildren Christian, Chloe, and Holly, mother Bobbylee Wilson, sisters Linda Humphrey and Cindy Baliton.

Our world champion will be forever in our hearts.
