Michael's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Michael Andrew Stuart on April 23rd, 2023 in his home in Boca Raton, Florida. He was 66 years old. Michael was born August 6th, 1956 in Paris, Illinois. He was the only child of John and Charlene Stuart. Michael worked hard in school and graduated from the University of Florida with honors. He became an elementary school teacher who took pride in his work teaching special needs children for 30 years. Michael also was a third degree black belt in karate and taught classes for 15 years. While teaching school, Michael combined magic and teaching, helping his special needs students gain self esteem and acquire new skills. Magic soon became his passion and he went on to become an award winning magician who traveled around the country performing amazing magic shows for 25 years. He was a kind and loving soul who touched the lives of many during his time with us.
Though he was affectionately known as "Mikey" by friends and family, Michael preferred being addressed by his given name. Throughout his life, he demonstrated unwavering commitment and love to his wife of forty two years Rhonda Branson Stuart, who survives him in this time of sorrow. Their love and commitment was an example for all to admire. Michael is survived by his three loving children: John Stuart (wife Theresa), Jill Ratsek, and Julie Luttio (husband Jacob); as well as his seven cherished grandchildren: Madysen Ratsek, Sydney Ratsek, Chloe Ratsek, Journey Stuart, Lincoln Stuart, Noah Luttio and Candace Luttio.
Michael will be remembered for his sense of humor, warm demeanor, generous spirit, and the lasting impression he made on those fortunate to have known him. As we mourn his passing, we celebrate the countless memories and cherished moments he shared with us throughout his life.
The memorial service will be held the following weekend, May 6th, at a private residence amongst friends and family.
