Michael Martin Stanga, 33, of Otsego (formerly of Deephaven) passed away peacefully February 4, 2021 after a courageous 7 years living with brain cancer. Preceded in death by grandparents, Mariene and Fred Dahl. Survived by wife Heather; son Caden; mother Sarah (Corey Pearson); father Tim (Ann) Stanga; sister, Cheryl (Dan) Despathy and niece Emma; in-laws, Steve, Tish, Jennifer, Marc (Latosha) Bishop and nieces, Auroura, Olyviah and Fynnlie; grandparents Cecil and Lindal Martin and Dennis and Nancy Stanga. Many loving aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as countless friends and coworkers.
A graduate of Wayzata High School and St Cloud State University, Michael was a natural leader with a kind, faithful soul and endless determination to pursue his passions. He was an avid storm chaser, organizing and leading regional storm chasing conventions. He loved the outdoors-hiking, camping, and fishing and was a proud Eagle Scout. He traveled all around the country, ultimately touching base in all 50 states. He also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life including tending his vegetable garden, visiting many local wineries and breweries and spending time with his beloved wife, son, family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor that kept those around him in constant smiles.

In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to the Givens Brain Tumor Center at Abbott NW Hospital or the American Brain Tumor Association.
