Michael Shayne Mitchell, 63, succumb to the deprivation of oxygen to the brain and cardiac arrest event he encountered on November 13, 2024 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital surrounded by loved ones.

Born in St. Petersburg, Florida he was the son of Kenneth and (Dora) Catherine (Curry) Mitchell. His superpower, listening skills more than made up for his lack of vision. He was always willing to listen to and help everyone in anyway that he could he was kind, thoughtful and loving, and extremely intelligent.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 32 years Nancy Ann Mitchell, his beloved children, Cojuana Mitchell, Robert Wilson, Andrea (Jenkins) Morris, Derrick Jenkins and their families,including 11 grandchildren one great grandchild, siblings, Randolph Mitchell and Priscilla (Mitchell) Magnum, God brother, Michael Johnson, many adored nieces and nephews, loving in laws, cherished cousins as well as countless lifetime friends, neighbors and love ones. He is now being united with his parents, brother Kenneth Mitchell Junior, son Sterling Wilson, and cousin Jackie Harrell in heaven!

His memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23 at 2:30 PM at Hammock Hall 3010 31st St. South, St. Petersburg 33712in his hometown St. Petersburg, Florida.
