It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Schope. Michael was born on June 5, 1971 at St.Mary’s hospital and peacefully passed away on July 13, 2023 in Tampa, Florida. 

Michael grew up in Kearney, Missouri,  then moved to Branson, Missouri for a short time before moving to Kansas City. Michael graduated from Winnetonka High School in 1989, and then stayed most of his life in Kansas City, retiring and moving to Tampa, Florida where he always wanted to go and where he passed. 

Michael was an affectionate father, a sensible thinker, a gregarious friend, and passionate in all he did. He had a philosophical outlook and generous spirit, Michael touched the lives of many, leaving a void that cannot be filled.

He is survived by his mother Rebecca, son, Branson, daughters Kaela’ and Danielle, sister Christy, 2 nieces, 2 nephews and 2.5 grandchildren 

The lessons Michael taught us all will remain cherished and practiced. Among many, his ethos to "Live your best life" resonated deeply with everyone he came into contact with. He believed in making the most of every moment, looking for the joy in each day, and sharing that joy with others.

Michael's legacy is one of unconditional love, happiness, and an enduring positive outlook. He was the life of the party, always wanting to have a good time and ensuring those around him were having a good time too. His spirit and memory will continue to inspire and uplift us all, and his influence will forever be a part of our lives.

A Celebration of Life for Michael will be held on July 21, 2023, at  6:00 PM at Side Pockets - North. Please join us as we remember and celebrate Michael's life and the love he shared with us all. We will continue to honour his life by living ours to the fullest, just as he did.
