Michael's obituary

Michael (Mike) Edward Schnapp, a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the age of 43.

Mike was known for his big heart, infectious laugh, and the unwavering love he held for his family and friends. A lifelong resident of the Dayton area, he was a memorable presence in the lives of all who knew him. He cherished time spent outdoors, and enjoyed cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals.

Above all else, Mike’s proudest role was being a father. He is survived by his five loving children: Hali Schnapp, Lacey Schnapp, Michael Schnapp Jr., Leah Schnapp, and Lexi Schnapp. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and lasting memories.

He is also survived by his dedicated siblings, Brian Schnapp, Cy Schnapp, and Amy Swain, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many close friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Luann Sutton Martin, and his father, Cyril Ermin Schnapp Jr.

In honor of his wishes, a private cremation will take place. The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date to remember and honor Mike's memory.

Michael's loss will be deeply felt by his children and loved ones. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Rest in peace, Michael, until we meet again.
