Michael Robbin, a writer, performer, and kindhearted soul, passed away on April 2, 2025, in the San Diego area. He was 77.

Born in Illinois and raised in Gary, Indiana, Michael was the son of Jerry and Sylvia Robbin and the brother of Jo Ann, Susan, and David. He graduated from Boston University with a degree in English and later moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the arts. He wrote poetry and screenplays, acted on stage and screen, and was later active in San Diego’s local theater scene.

Michael also worked for many years as a taxi driver in San Diego, where his gentle spirit and sharp mind left an impression on many. He was deeply knowledgeable about movies and television and loved engaging in thoughtful conversation.

Family members and friends remember Michael for his quiet resilience, humor, creativity, and the warmth he brought to every room. He is survived by his sisters Susan and Jo Ann, and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother David and his parents.

Michael is remembered with deep affection and appreciation. May his memory be a blessing.
