Michael & Brian Honored by the State of Montana On August 30th, 2023 The great state of Montana honored Michael and Brian by planting a Fall Fiesta Sugar Maple tree which will grow to over 50 feet tall on the grounds at the State Capital of Montana where both Michael & Brian were born. Sophia, the boys Mom and Sister Amelia along with others were there to remember and honor Michael and Brian for the ultimate sacrifice to save another's life. As they were planting the tree a herd of Deer walked by and bowed their heads. This tree will live forever and grow to the heavens to remind us of them and that they are still watching out for us.

Being in Law Enforcement Michael got to see the worst of our world and as throughout his life he always tried to find a way to make things better. So he studied and became a Minister after finding and believing in God and Heaven above from his little sister Abigail who grew up in the Catholic school system After he graduated and became a Minister he paid for Abigail’s schooling so that she too could become a Minister. In her first act as a Minister Michael on Dec 24 2019 asked her to Baptize him and she did, in a stable with cows and horses as witnesses on Christmas Eve. — with Michael Rich

Michael was all out a Montana Cowboy and he loved the cows on the Twisted R Ranch with all his heart. This beautiful miniature black Angus seen here with Michael is Faith. she was Michael’s sister Abigail’s very first cow. She took Abigail’s and Michael's heart the moment the moment they met. But Faith was born with a medical defect and at times needed lifesaving medical attention which Abigail & Michael always provided to save Faiths life. Every birthday Michael gave the Birthday cow a cupcake in celebration. Today Faith passed away and while I can only hope there is a Heaven above I hope Michael was there to greet her and welcome her home.

Michael was getting kisses from his sister, Abigail’s horse Stetson. They are together now in heaven with his brother Brian waiting for us to join them. Today Abigail”s beloved miniature black angus cow Faith joined him.

Michael was born in Montana and was a true cowboy all his life.

My handsome son, Michael. Today is his birthday, he would be 32 years young. I miss him so much. He would have been outside cooking on his BBQ today. It didn’t matter what, hot dogs, burgers, steaks. Anything really, he just loved to BBQ and he was really good at it. Todays weather is perfect for him too. It’s overcast, breezy and just 66 degrees out. His sister Amelia would have baked him a cake. Chocolate or lemon were his favorite. We were a very close family and today would have been as big a celebration as Christmas.

Michael was in Law Enforcement when he lived in Nevada. One night he came upon a residence that was fully involved on fire, knowing that it would be to late by the time the Fire Dept arrived he called for help and went in by himself. He pulled a woman who had stopped breathing and had no pulse , and her dog from the burning residence. He started CPR on the woman until EMS arrived. She was transported to the hospital with a beating heart. Michael was honored by the American Police Hall of Fame, with this life saving award and his name on the Police Hall of Fame wall forever.

Before I talk about Michael I just wanted to say to Michael's family, I cannot imagine what you're going through, losing a family member in general is tough, having them be as young as Michael is even tougher. We don't get to choose when it happens, we only get to choose what we do with the time we have.In the time I was able to know Michael I got to see him smile and like wise hear him laugh. I'm grateful to have had that impact and I'm sure you have your own stories and experiences with Michael. Without doubt he loves you and if you have any regrets or things you wish you'd said, he knows... I don't doubt that.I hope in this time of mourning, you are able to push through, regardless of how painful it must be. Michael definitely would want that and for you all to be happy, at least eventually. I had never met Michael in person, having only met him online. Originally I reached out first, as he seemed to be having a rough day, that's why he caught my eye. We started shooting messages back and forth, this kept going for I think... a week? Eventually though we decided to speak to one another via a Skype call, as well as eventually a few video calls, continuing to write on and off, over a period of 8+ years. He's very smart and I always appreciated that him and I could talk for hours, jumping from topic to topic without fear of holding anything back. I even got to hear him play guitar and sing, being a musician I know how nerve wrecking that can be, so I always appreciated him putting himself out like that. He was always very kind and even on his off days, he would always put the other person before himself. I'm glad I got to know him.Thank you for taking care of him over the years, as well as being there for him in any sort of capacity, I know obviously with covid that had been made much harder to do, but you did everything you could, while protecting other vulnerable people and I'm grateful for you doing that, thank you! My deepest condolences, it might not feel like it right now, but it'll be okay, please take care of one another and thanks for listening.

Michael, you was an Angel here you will be in heaven, I always will remember you! Don't worry I will try my best to don't leave your sister and family alone, they are strong and know you will guard them from the heaven! Rest in peace my dear friend ♥️ I will not forgive you, so much love you deserved cause you was a true sweetheart. People sometimes say, true good people live less than bad ones because they have to teach others what kindness is. I love you, also you teach me what is love, respect and care, thanks, thanks a lot! 

I think about Michael all the time and I miss him greatly. We were close friends on Telegram and in Secondlife. I spent a lot of time with him and I cared deeply about him. It is very hard to know that I won't see him anymore and it hurts my heart to lose such an amazing individual. Michael was there for me on many occasions and he always made me smile even when I was feeling down. I will miss him always. I think of you often Michael and will always love you. You were much more than just a friend.

Not a single day goes by, were i wish he was still around, my life feels empty without one of my best and closest friends at my side, he was like a brother to me, he was always there for those he cared for, and i will forever be thankful for that, i will miss you dearly and think of you often, michael.
