Michael Raymond Martin

Michael Raymond Martin, 52, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 in Denver, Co., surrounded by his family.

Born in St. Clair Shores to Michael and Rita Martin, Michael is survived by his wife Diane Wieland and cherished twin daughters Brynn and McKenna. He is also survived by his sister Marisa Rawlins (Mike), brothers Steve Martin (Cacey), and Jeff Martin (Erica). Uncle to nieces Carys, Paige, Audrey, Elise, Imogen and nephew Grady.

After attending Western Michigan University, Michael moved to Colorado in the early 2000’s. He spent his time networking (and skiing) which eventually led him to found several business ventures including Colorado Rocky Mountain Resorts. An avid angler and outdoorsman, he found joy in the mountains, rivers and wide-open spaces. Michael’s passion for cooking was another defining part of his life. His kitchen was the gathering place for family, friends and visitors on most holidays and Lions Sundays. He loved escaping the Colorado winters for warmer climates, traveling to his favorite places with family and friends to wherever the fish were biting, especially Florida and the Island of Anguilla.

Michael will be remembered for his generous spirit, sense of humor, and lifelong friendships that he has maintained since grade school. His presence will be deeply missed but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
